To access online databases from home, go to the Library Sharepoint site: http://studentportal.vbschools.com/sites/HFC/LMC. It is also a link off the First Colonial Home Page by selecting @FC as the first selection on the Quick Picks list. It is located mid way down the list of helpful links. Select the database you want by double-clicking on it, and enter the usernames and passwords given on the Sharepoint site.
·To search forbooks, double click the Destiny icon on the desktop. Click the “Catalog” tab to search by subject, keyword (person of interest).Biographies are organized in alphabetical order by subject last name.
·Use the index to search alphabetically by the last name of the person. ·You may check up to 3 books out for two weeks.

·This database focuses on Social Studies and History. Because the person you are researching is important to the history of the day this becomes a veryuseful database.
Select First Colonial as your school and select the database you will use.Search by term and filter your results by resource type.
